Our CMC for Lithium Battery Manufacturing Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose MAC500LC is a polymer compound, readily soluble in water and polar solvents. It reduces irreversible reactions, increases slurry viscosity, and prevents slurry sedimentation. It appears as a white powder with a slight odor.

Operational Recommendations
  1. Adjust the slurry consistency by controlling the amount of water added to prevent edge retraction during slurry coating.
  2. For small bubbles formed during stirring, use vacuum defoaming or add a small amount of ethanol or n-butanol for defoaming.
  3. After the electrode sheet is dried, allow it to cool in the air before proceeding with calendering, cutting, and winding.
  4. Before battery liquid injection, ensure sufficient drying to remove moisture adsorbed by the electrode sheet.
